In response to the EU’s New Pact on Asylum and Migration, Mobile Info Team submits its feedback regarding the most important deficiencies and human rights failures we’ve observed in our recent advocacy and case work.

Key recommendations:

  • Practices by border authorities are monitored to ensure that basic humanitarian standards are met and human rights abuses and pushbacks are ended.

  • Asylum seekers must be relocated across EU member states in a timely manner respecting vulnerabilities and the right to family reunification.

  • All Asylum seekers receive legal information and assistance in all stages of their asylum procedures.

  • Rights of asylum seekers to services be monitored in order to ensure they are practically available in all cases.

  • NGO registration measures be brought in line with EU standards for Freedom of Association
